Therapy Settings

What can you expect at the initial consultation?

The initial consultation is an important first step in psychotherapy and primarily serves to get to know each other. It offers you the opportunity to get an impression of me and my way of working and to find out whether you feel comfortable in my practice. At the same time, you will receive initial information about the process and the general conditions of the therapy.

During this consultation, we will discuss your concerns, expectations and wishes. The aim is to clarify together whether and how I can support you with your issues. We can also talk about your ideas and possible therapy goals. If you are still unsure about where your path should lead, we will work out initial ideas together. It is quite normal for therapy goals to develop or change in the course of the process.

During the initial consultation, we will also clarify important organisational issues such as the frequency of sessions, the psychotherapeutic setting (individual, couple or family therapy), the fee and the arrangements for cancellations. This discussion forms the basis for deciding whether you would like to continue therapy with me.

The initial consultation is charged like a regular session at the respective fee. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to decide at your leisure whether you would like to continue working with me.

I look forward to getting to know you and taking the first steps on your journey with you.

Individual Therapy

In an individual setting, I offer you a protected space in which you can focus entirely on yourself and your individual concerns. You take centre stage here - with all your worries, stresses and challenges that life brings with it. Together we will explore what you hope to gain from psychotherapy and develop ways in which I can support you in the best possible way.

In systemic individual therapy, we do not look at your issues in isolation, but in the context of the social systems that surround you - be it your family, partnership, circle of friends or professional environment. This is because it is often the dynamics and communication patterns within these systems that contribute significantly to the difficulties you are experiencing.

Using targeted systemic methods such as genogram work, the family board and various questioning techniques, we work together to gain a deeper understanding of the underlying patterns of your behaviour. This opens up new perspectives and possibilities for action that enable you to make positive changes to your current conflicts and difficulties.

In a trusting environment, I will support you in activating your strengths and resources and developing suitable solution strategies. It is important to me that you feel seen and heard - at eye level and with the appreciation you deserve.

Let's start your journey together. I look forward to accompanying you on this journey.

Couples Therapy

Every relationship is unique and goes through ups and downs. Relationships are dynamic and subject to constant change. In some phases, it can be helpful to have neutral support. In my practice, I offer you a safe space to better understand the dynamics and patterns of your relationship, to explore the challenges of your relationship together and to develop new solutions.

Together, we can look at your relationship from different angles and discover new possibilities for action.

In systemic couples therapy, we look at your relationship as a system in which each partner plays an important role. Together we explore how you communicate with each other, what expectations you have of each other and where there are points of friction. I would like to help you shape your relationship in such a way that you both feel seen, heard and valued.

Familientherapie

Family Therapy

Families are a complex web of emotions, relationships and dynamics. They can contribute to both the emergence and overcoming of challenges. All members of a family system are therefore welcome in my work with families.

In family life, intense feelings and emotions from different people often come together in different situations. Love, joy, but also worry, stress and conflict are all part of family life. It is not uncommon for these to sometimes lead to tensions, whether due to changes in a child's behaviour, difficulties at school, communication problems or other changes within the family.

In family therapy, I invite your whole family to work together to understand what the current challenges are about. We explore the family patterns and dynamics that may be causing problems and look together at possible new behaviours and approaches. I try to create a safe space in which all family members are heard and understood.

Sometimes individual sessions with parents or children can also be useful in order to work on specific issues more intensively. Family therapy provides a framework for developing new perspectives and gaining a deeper understanding of the dynamics within your family.

Your family is unique, and in therapy we work together to discover ways that might be appropriate for you to deal with changes and challenges.

Walk & Talk: Psychotherapie im gehen

Walk & Talk: Let's walk together

Sometimes body and mind simply need exercise - so why not use it in therapy?
Experience the beneficial effects of nature and movement on your psyche with ‘Walk & Talk’ - an innovative approach to psychotherapy that takes the conversation outside. Instead of sitting in a traditional therapy room, we go for a walk together in the fresh air. Nature and our surroundings become an active part of the therapeutic process.

Walking gets body and mind moving. The relaxed atmosphere not only encourages dialogue, but also helps to release blockages and gain new perspectives. Studies show that exercise and nature have a positive effect on mental well-being. ‘Walk & Talk’ combines these benefits with therapeutic guidance to help you achieve your goals and find inner balance.

Whether in a park, in the forest or simply in the city - the change of environment can have an inspiring effect and provide new insights. Let's discover new paths together and achieve your goals step by step.

Feel free to contact me for ‘Walk & Talk’ and discover how nature and movement can enrich your psychotherapy.

*I only offer this therapy setting for individual and couples therapy.

Online Therapy

In today's fast-paced world, it can be a challenge to find the time for regular therapy. Since the corona pandemic, online psychotherapy has been a practical addition to conventional psychotherapy. Online therapy offers you the opportunity to receive professional support from the comfort of your own home - flexibly and regardless of location. Whether you work from home, are travelling a lot or simply can't make the journey: online therapy brings you closer to your goals and gives you the support you need without having to compromise.

While our online sessions can be just as effective as traditional psychotherapy, it is important to me as a therapist to see you in person at certain intervals. These face-to-face meetings serve to deepen our therapeutic relationship and give you the opportunity to reflect and receive new impulses in a different setting.

The combination of online sessions and face-to-face psychotherapy makes it possible to provide a dynamic and flexible therapy that can be optimally adapted to your needs. This allows us to work together on your problems, your solutions and your concerns - anytime and anywhere, while maintaining the personal connection that is so valuable in therapy.

Please contact me to find out more and to arrange your first appointment.
